Ecoffins

Humans are always wasting resources... they never stop this "squandering habit" even when they are dead and lying motionlessly in the coffin. All the while, I cannot understand why a corpse must be placed in a coffin which will eventually end up in the crematory. What is this whole rationale about?

At this point in time, we should be eliminating coffins made with toxic glues and emphasize on reducing pollutants from the air. In fact, most green funeral advocates believe destroying wood coffins during the cremation process is unnecessary and wasteful. And please... trees have better functions: to prevent soil erosion and most importantly, they utilize the Carbon dioxide released by us and also provide us Oxygen to stay alive. There we go... chopping them down to make coffins which will eventually be burnt! No sense at all!

There are actually many ecoffins available in the market. All are made of natural biodegradable materials. They are more environmentally-friendly alternative to a traditional casket. Generally, a ecoffin comes in a complete design for a final send-off. It includes a coffin liner, a headrest and a shroud (burial sheet). It's not at all inferior (or disrespectful) when compared with a traditional coffin. ehem hem... so please inform your kins to send you off in ecoffins when your time is up in FUTURE! (it's definately not a taboo for discussion... i mean all earthlings have an expiry date, don't you agree?)

何必花一大比钱买棺材呢？
再昂贵， 再奢华的棺材， 死人也不会有感觉的。
咳...可怜的树木被我们一棵棵地砍断。
然后做成死者的安息处，最后还得被火化。这真是令人费解。
幸好市面上出现了＂环保材＂ (环保棺材)。
它们的制造过程都是使用＂可以自然分解的材料＂，绝对环保哦。
我建议所有的地球人都通知家人为自己准备一副＂环保材＂。
对我而言，这绝对不是个禁忌。而是一份保护地球的责任。
反正所有的生物都有个＂有效期现＂，人类也一样。
